About the Kudozi app family

The Kudozi app family and website are provided by Matthew Mosses (“we”, “us” or “our”). These terms sit alongside Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, which governs each app licence where applicable.

Products covered by these terms

These shared terms apply to the Kudozi website and the available Kudozi apps. By downloading or using an app, you agree to these terms and the product-specific provisions that apply to it. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

• Kudozi: Chores and Rewards: available now and covered by the detailed provisions below.
• Kudozi Potty: an adult-facing toilet-learning record, reminder and progress app. It is free and has no subscription or in-app purchase.
• Kudozi Moments: in development and not currently offered for use or purchase.

Before Kudozi Moments becomes available for public testing, use or purchase, we will add terms specific to its purpose, features, access and payment arrangements. Subscription terms stated for Kudozi: Chores and Rewards do not apply to Kudozi Potty.

Adult responsibility

A parent, carer or other responsible adult must create and administer each Kudozi family. The organiser is responsible for family information, invitations and decisions made using the apps. Kudozi Potty is designed for adults; children are not expected to operate it.

Kudozi Potty

Kudozi Potty lets an adult record toilet-learning moments, set optional reminders, add daily context and view descriptive patterns. The charts and summaries reflect only the information recorded. They are not grades, predictions or assessments of a child and may not represent every moment in a day.

Kudozi Potty provides general educational information, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It does not replace a health visitor, GP, paediatric professional or other qualified adviser. Seek appropriate professional advice if toileting is painful, constipation or blood is a concern, a child is distressed, or you are otherwise worried.

Reminders are optional aids. Delivery can be affected by device settings, quiet hours, childcare periods, battery management and Apple services. Adults remain responsible for deciding when to offer support and should not rely on the app for urgent, medical or safety-critical reminders.

Kudozi Potty is not a medical record. Keep any independent records needed for healthcare, nursery, school or another important purpose.

Kudozi: Chores and Rewards

Kudos and rewards

Kudos are an in-app family score. They are not money, stored value, cryptocurrency or a financial product and cannot be transferred or redeemed outside the family. Adults are solely responsible for deciding, approving and providing rewards, including any reward described in monetary terms. Kudozi does not hold funds or process those family rewards.

Trial and subscription

Kudozi offers eligible new customers a 14-day free trial followed by an annual auto-renewable subscription. The UK price is £7.99 per year; Apple displays the applicable price before confirmation. Payment will be charged to the purchaser’s Apple Account when the trial ends unless cancelled. The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.

The purchaser can manage or cancel the subscription in Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting Kudozi does not cancel a subscription. Eligibility for a free trial is determined by Apple and is normally limited to one introductory offer per subscription group. Apple handles App Store billing and refunds under its terms and applicable consumer law.

One active organiser subscription is intended to cover one Kudozi family and its invited profiles through Kudozi's family access system. The subscription is not shared through Apple Family Sharing.

Expiry

When a trial or subscription expires, active features may be paused. We will not deliberately delete family information merely because access expires. Adults will retain reasonable access needed to view, manage or delete family information and to restore or restart a subscription.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse a Kudozi app, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass subscription verification, use it unlawfully, or use invitations to give unauthorised people access to private family information. Do not enter information you do not have authority to record or share.

Family sharing and privacy

Sharing is optional and uses Apple iCloud and CloudKit. The family organiser controls invitations and should invite only trusted adults. Invited adults may be able to view and change information in the shared family. Details about information, storage, deletion and privacy choices are in our Privacy Policy.

Availability

We aim to keep Kudozi reliable, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. Device, internet, iCloud or Apple service availability may affect syncing, invitations, notifications and purchases. Keep appropriate independent records of anything important.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits rights provided by applicable consumer law. To the extent permitted by law, Kudozi is provided without guarantees beyond those rights. We are not responsible for family reward arrangements, supervision or healthcare decisions, incomplete records, missed notifications, or indirect losses arising from use or unavailability of an app.
